Where We Come From
Reliable Group started as PJL Systems in New York in 1971. The original idea was simple: help American companies set up and own operations in India. Build the office, hire the people, run the back-office logistics. That was the business then, and if you strip away the acronyms and industry jargon that have accumulated over 55 years, it is still the business today.
The category has gone through several naming cycles: captive centers, shared services, offshore delivery, and now Global Capability Centers. The labels change, but the underlying challenge has not. US companies need skilled professionals in India, and someone has to handle the practical reality of making that work across two countries, two legal systems, and a 10-12 hour time difference.
Today, Reliable Group is still headquartered in New York, still privately held, and still led by people who have worked in this business for decades rather than months. We have served over 400 clients across healthcare, financial services, pharma, insurance, and private equity.
Our India operations span six cities: Vadodara, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Noida. Each office is fully operational with dedicated infrastructure, IT, compliance, and facilities management teams. Our India leadership has been in place for years, not months. When we say we handle the operational complexity, we mean there are real people on the ground, in our offices, making it work every day.
That is the point. We think of ourselves as a partner whose job is to work toward your independence, not a vendor whose revenue depends on your continued reliance.
